The Vallunga is the entrance to the Naturepark Puez – Odle. It lasts a few km and it’s in the middle of woods and mountains. The valley has a flair of quiteness and calmness, which you can enjoy during a walk in the valley. The via Crucis leads you directly to the direction of Juac and is represented with woodsculptures.

Details

From Vallunga in Selva Val Gardena, we start towards the chapel of Silvester (n. 14) and take there the path which leads left to the via Crucis (n. 25). We can enjoy the silence of the winter and walk to the stations that have been made of wood from native woodcarvers. Once at the fraction Daunëi the path leads high up on the Juac Alm (n. 17A) from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Col Raiser, Seceda, Sassolungo and Sella. The walk can be continued to the Regensburg hut (n. 1). In the same way it goes back to the starting point.

Approach

On the main road “Mëisules” of Selva Val Gardena, pass the tourist office and turn left on the next road to Dantercepies. This leads to the parking lot of Vallunga.
