A rewarding hike along a designated glacier educational trail to the mountain hut Palla Bianca, with gorgeous panoramic views of glaciers. The glacier trail is an educational path beginning at the orientation board close to the Malga di Melago/Melager Alm (1.970 m). Twelve further information boards along the route will explain the landscape in view of the glacial expansion between 1820 and 1850 marked visibly by moraines, and today’s glaciation around the Weißkugel (3.738 m). This will give an impression of the decline of the glacier and the altered landscape over the past 160 years.
