You can start your hiking trip either directly at the “Terlaner Weinstube” (approx. 1 mile from the village centre when you walk from Terlan in the direction of Meran) or from the village centre itself. If you walk along the Silberleiten Path you will come to Oberkreuth. Once you reach the fountain turn right, walk another 25 yards and then turn left in the direction of Tschirglhöfe (farm houses). Further up the mountain, you will pass the “Mugger/Zilli“ and “Bergrast“. Keep on the Mölten Road, and after 150 yards, turn right to return to the village centre. Half way along this path, once you reach the street (tunnel), you will start to descend into the village. After the first 25 yards of the decent, it is worth taking a quick run over to the “Wetterkreuz“ (weather cross). This is a wonderful look-out point close to the ruin of the “St. Peter’s Burgknappen“ chapel from the 14th Century. On the mountain slope on the opposite side, you can see some tunnels from the 15th Century, when the mining industry was at its peak. The steep path first of all leads you down to the farm house “Klaus in der Mühl’“ and then meets the “Kirchgasse“ from where you will reach your starting point.
