This lovely, almost flat trail runs from the Taser family’s mountain pasture to the peaceful Greitererhof and onwards to the Egger mountain inn, revealing wonderful views of Merano and Environs in the process.
From the Taseralm mountain hut, the route follows the Taser Höhenweg high mountain trail to the Greitererhof and then continues to the Egger inn along a mostly flat track. The trail then follows the Rabenschnabel (raven’s beak) to the Gsteier mountain inn. The descent that follows via the road or the old footpath down to Scena is rather more strenuous. It is also possible to take the cable car into the valley from the mid-station of the Merano 2000 mountain railway just below the Gsteier inn.
