This circular hike from Nova Levante leads along a refreshing forest trail to Lake Carezza, which is considered one of the most magnificent Alpine lakes and is known above all for its deep green water and the beautiful mountain scenery in the background. Return to Nova Levante along the historic “Herrensteig” trail.

Details

The trail leads from the civil defence centre in Nova Levante/Welschnofen on trail [10A] to the lago di Carezza.Return: trail [10A] back to the Hotel Adler, continuing on trail [7A] and [7] back to Nova Levante.

Approach

Take highway’s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to Nova Levante (about 20 min. from highway toll booth).
