For centuries now, the inhabitants of St. Martin im Kofel, located above Laces/Latsch, have been making the pilgrimage over the Niederjöchl pass (2,662 m a.s.l) to the pilgrimage site of Madonna di Senales/Unser Frau, in order to pray together with the people of Senales for a good harvest.

Details

From the pilgrimage church of Madonna di Seales/Unser Frau in Schnalstal Valley, follow trail no. 19 up to mountain pasture Lafetz at 2,015 m a.s.l. Take a left at the fork and continue on the climbing trail no. 22 up to Geigerkofel. From here, continue along the trail in a south-westerly direction beneath the Wiegenspitzen peaks. You then arrive at mountain pasture Penaud; after that, bear left and follow archaeological trail no A5 with the trail mark no. 20 and continue on down into the valley as far as Certosa/Karthaus. Take the left fork and hiking trail no. 20A.
