We start relaxed at the train station in Mals through the centre, reaching on the northern edge along the slightly rising metalled road no. 64 the Malettesböden (1,606 m). On wonderful paths along the Sonnenhang and 310 m after the Lechtlhof fork left towards Gamassen and after the first grids on the ground in the black forest further until the first sharp left turn. On the Tartscher Leger, following the Venosta Valley high mountain trail, we arrive at the Haufendorf Matsch (1,564 m). The views at the Upper Venosta Valley, Gran Zebrú, Ortler, Münstertal as well as the Reschen Pass attend us. It goes onwards on an asphalted ridge path til we reach the highest point of the tour, the alpine inn Glieshof at 1,810 m with sun deck and well known good food.

 

Passing the Tial and Aviunshof we are enjoying a short stony forest soil trail (S1, steep) along the Aviunstal towards the granaries. After the Aviunstal turn left sharply. Onwards on the metalled road with a rise of 120 hm. Downwards to Gschnair past the beautiful castle Churburg to Schluderns and along the bike path via Glurns and Laatsch back to Mals.Hinunter nach Gschnair an der schönen Churburg vorbei bis nach Schluderns und über den Fahrradweg via Glurns und Laatsch back to Mals. Don´t forget to make a stop.
