The Knottnkino in Vöran/Verano is a lookout point. It’s outfitted with thirty cinema seats, where the hikers can take a seat and enjoy the unique experience. The site overlooks the whole of the Adige Valley so visitors enjoy stunning views that encompass the Texelgruppe Mountains, Mount Penegal, and even Weißhorn farther afield.

Details

The hike begins at the parking lot in the village of Hafling/Avelengo on 1,280m. From there the trail no. 16 takes to Leadner Alm Mountain Hut (1,514m). From the Bruggen Pond the way no. 11 leads to the Weberhof farm and then on the way no. 14 to the Knottnkino. The return route passes partly through the forest, along Trail No. 12 and No. 12a to the parking lot back in Hafling.

Approach

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano – Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street until the parking lot in Hafling Dorf (below the parish church).
