From the top of the mountain we can marvel at the Zillertal Alps rising in the clear-blue skies: the peaks of Weißzint, Großer Möseler and Turnerkamp compete with each other for attention. In autumn the larch-wood forests shine in flaming colours over the valley. The Flemmsee, as it is marked in the maps, dried out long time ago and can hardly be distinguished from the rest of the highland moor.

This tour is not over-crowded even in high season.

 

Details

Zösenberg is situated in the village of Zösen in Lappach. This relaxing tour leads us to Eggespitz peak, passing by Zösenalm and Lake Flemmsee. To the lake you walk on the forest road and the last stretch to the peak Eggespitz is a path.

By car: Coming from the north: München – Rosenheim – Kufstein – Innsbruck – Brennerautobahn – exit at Brixen – national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße to Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley – Mühlen in Taufers/Molini di Tures – Mühlwald/Lappach/Selva dei Molini/Lappago Coming from the west: Reschen pass, Bozen, Brixen and national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße to Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley – Mühlen in Taufers/Molini di Tures – Mühlwald/Lappach/Selva dei Molini/Lappago Coming from the east: Motorway Tauernautobahn or Felbertauern tunnel to Lienz and continue on to Innichen -Toblach – Bruneck – turn right into the Ahrntal Valley – Mühlen in Taufers/Molini di Tures – Mühlwald/Lappach/Selva dei Molini/Lappago Coming from the south: Verona – Trento – Bozen – Motorway Brennerautobahn to the exit at Brixen – national road Pustertaler Staatsstraße Bruneck – turn left into the Ahrntal Valley – Mühlen in Taufers/Molini di Tures – Mühlwald/Lappach/Selva dei Molini/Lappago
